Friday’s Garbage, Bulk, Yard Waste, and Recycling Services Suspended

Norfolk’s garbage, bulk, yard waste, and recycling services are suspended for Friday, October 2, 2015 due to inclement weather; refuse container deliveries are also suspended.

Norfolk’s garbage, bulk, yard waste, and recycling services are suspended for Friday, October 2, 2015 due to inclement weather; refuse container deliveries are also suspended. Please do not place bulk, yard waste, or containers at curbside until further notice. After the storm event, collection will occur as soon as possible.

Depending on weather conditions, service in the Central Business District will occur as scheduled.

Street Sweeping Suspended for Thursday, October 1, 2015

Public Works Operations will not sweep scheduled streets on Thursday, October 1, 2015. This includes areas with and without street sweeping enforced parking signs. The department will attempt to reschedule street sweeping after this storm event.

Mayor Fraim Declares State of Emergency in Accordance with State Declaration
